100DAYSOFDISCIPLINE

Hae, i have been missing in action for a while, my apologies, network is not always a guarantee so appreciate it while it lasts :-) am grateful for this blog and you reading it.

Have you spotted #100daysofHappiness on social media? Most likely yes. I have come across a lot of reviews on the same and i kind of agreed with the ones against it than those that encouraged it. Question is, Can you really ''REALLY'' be happy for 100days consequtively? Some of the writters actually thought it was depressing, having a balance of emotions is important as well...

So, I decided to do something practical, #100DaysOfDiscipline.

Someone (or book) said that the secret to success is ''DISCIPLINE''. I also happen to feel like i am one not so ''Discipline'' person, i used to be then i turned out to be the one day at a time or more a minute at a time person. With no rules, breaking plans, basically,  just live a second as it comes.

So this is a journey i want to take and maybe sharing it will keep me on my toes :-) so i made this list (in a sec, no much thought applied) to the things i want to do tomorrow. I had actually thought of them but most likely i would not have done them.

..... Here it is....

1. Sell Jewelry (have a stand or see my customers)

2.Read atleast 2 chapters of my novel (i am not much of a book worm, or the least, but i can easily read a good book)

3. Have a 15 minute work out (the last time i tried this it lasted 5 days, so help me God) :-)

I happen to be a one step at a time girl so three things to observe are probably the best way to start. If intrested or already doing the same or have ever done, share.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR STOPPING BY

XOXO

BEADED RINGS

Good Morning...

Recently i started out on new jewelry, i am thinking more mature on my pieces but trying to maintain my identity which is Young Young and Young again...

My pieces also maintain an African theme as i used beads, wooden, seed and even shells...

I would also appreciate to here what you think of them...

I am always in love with cowrie Shells, this are from an old necklace i got but it spoilt too soon, i kept it and yea, now recycling :-)

The Ring below is from round wooden beads and a seed bead, totally loving seed beads though :-)

LOVELY BIRDS AT THE 2014 MET GALA

Hae... Been a while.

Lupita was named worst dress by Hollywood life Website this morning at the MET Gala event. The theme was Decorations (FYI). The dress i loved but i just feel she could have let it play dress and accessory role, so i may not agree fully with them but she kinda over did the decoration theme.

Have you seen the funny pictures going round about her dress... well, that's why am here...

Don't you like that she was compared to a beaded calabash...

away from bead work, did you know that Feathers are a major African material for jewelry? well yea, am here for a reason. however they are not as common as other sources such as the animal teeth/ bones. Ostrich are known to be the best and most popular birds but i have used chicken feather in the past. we however ought to remember birds/ animals are endangered species and always protect them.

Lupita's dress was by Prada, embellished with Rhimestones and feathers
here is a more detailed look at it

Her Purse.....
plus you get to see the feathers

The shoes......

She wasn't the only one in feathers :) here are two others, so proud another African is in Feathers...

kristen Stewart in Chanel

Gabrielle Union in Prada (FYI) Prada herself did it this, of course with assistance

Last year Beyonce was voted best dressed for the same event, and guess what she wore.... okay i will say it... FEATHERS :)

GONE WITH THE WIND FABULOUS ::))

moral of the post/ story.... African pieces will always make a statement...

thank you so much for stopping by

XOXO

I HEART RADIO MUSIC AWARDS

Morning, so did you get a chance to watch the i heart Radio Music awards? a few video of the event as well as pictures are already online and to start on my post today will be the best video i watched. (RIP M.J)

Like always, i talk Jewelry, bead work mostly but if its African/ Handmade its still very much a topic. i was so eager to check out which celebrity brought the beads/African pieces and i must say, i got a few and shock on me most of the pics / all are male.

To start with Pharell, Thank you God for Friday and Pharell, this two never disappoint.

 Notice the bangles, #iheartPharell

Lord Kraven, i didn't even know him until  i saw those beads he rocked. what a way to tell the world Rockstars are the best (rockets/ rockest :P)

Ps. the leather as well :) and is he wearing feather earrings?

Singer Luke Bryan, those must be leather bangles

...Linda Perry. she wore horn necklace, clearly its African inspired, she probably visited Mombasa and had one made in memory of our beautiful country :) #Pride

unfortunately i only saw those, so unfortunate right? considering the number of Africans that took part in the event. i can't wait to be the jewelry queen and make them wear the most beautiful type of jewelry :)

anyway...

It is FRIDAY people, (FURAHI DAY) and today imma turn it up at an event then... ya!
lol any way....

THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY...
