Halloo...
I am sorta excited for this post, yet another privilege to have a talented artist grace my blog via an interview i had the privilege to have.

...and i will jump straight to it :)

ENJOY ...

11. Introduce yourself

My name is Robai Musilivi Muiruri married to one Martin Muiruri and have a beautiful daughter Called Hazzel she is five. I am born again and enjoy it. I make jewelry and teach people how to make jewelry, shaggy rugs and detergents

2. How long have you been doing this?

I started doing jewelry seriously in 2011. Before then i just made stuff for fun

33.What keeps you going?

God keeps me going :-) i love what i do... Sometimes i dream of designs. I love seeing people accessorized and looking all glamorous...and knowing that i participated in achieving that look... haaaaa (deep sigh of relief)

14. What do you do in a typical day?

Typical day prepare baby for school then go to the office (work with my husband) all the while i am thinking of what to make. Get there and make jewelry then leave early afternoon go home to receive baby from school then usual house chores (no house help) sometimes maybe once or twice a week i do deliveries from Morning as i buy supplies then go to the office and make some pieces or go home depending on the time... And other weekdays i have students so i teach the whole day and on such days hubby goes home early to receive baby girl... So i have many typical days

25. How do you keep yourself and your teammates up to date with the trends?

I am on the internet a lot... Blogs, Instagram, pin interest, online shops, good old Google etc. I also pray for design ideas... Many times i have done pieces that i have never seen and they look amazing on people.

36. What would you say are the qualities of a good Jewelry Designer?

Ability to listen and tell the truth... Sometimes people just want something because they saw it on someone else that may not necessarily look good on them...it is an accessory therefore should not be killed but used to enhance a look. So listening to a client and also telling them the truth not just making pieces for the sake of selling.

1 7. What can you do that most people can’t as a jewelry designer?

This is difficult hahahahaa... I do not know much about many people but i really appreciate Art... Always different for everyone, cant quite put my finger but i know Roma jewelry has a totally different touch than everyone else

28. What is the worst job you can imagine holding?

Ummmm... Worst job....Job that does not involve meeting people... Broad i know... But yeah just that... Even though i like my quiet space when designing... I love the thrill of meeting new people all the time and talking all the time :-)

39. What are two or three things you would still like to learn in this field?

I want to learn how to work with precious stone. And i still have many things that i am yet to perfect

10. Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Five years....Having a crafting school and Roma jewelry in stores all over the world

11. Who has impacted you most in your career and how?

My husband Martin has impacted me the most... In fact at work he is my QA (Quality assurance) guy... My greatest supporter number one fan... Always encourages me... Sometimes i get what i have heard being referred to as a creator’s block or i am simply discouraged, he is always there.

12. Have you had days you wanted to quit? Tell us in a few words one or two of these moments.

Yes i have had quite a few of those. Once business was so low... People are not paying up what they owe and i did not have more capital to pump back into the business... Quite discouraging i must say

113. How would you describe the experience of working as Jewelry Designer?

The best experience ever. Would not trade it for anything else and it is something i would like even my grand children to know.

14. How can interested customers reach you?

On facebook my page www.facebook.com/Romajewelry email: Robaimuiruri@gmail.com

Like i said, this was an honor, thank you Robai for gracing my humble blog and more so for taking your time to answer a few of the questions i had.
