THAT AFRICAN TOUCH

Hey Loves....

It's been a while, am so sorry, juggling the hustle is tough SMH

anyways.....

a month ago i was talking future with some of my gals and i realized by age 13 every girl knows close to all her wedding details and all that is missing is their groom (most or bride :] )
i don't know much about mine and am in my 20's but after a month of thinking and following a few wedding pages on instagram, i know a little details about it, like for instance i want a classic royal wedding but with African details, i actually want two weddings after learning about one in my culture called ''guracio''

:)
how cool are this white accessories?

This feet accessories are so cool just in case i decide to go bare :)

for the love of chunky accessories (classy drift )

how can we forget the mother of the Bride, it's Africa :)

i still don't know what my maids of honor will adorn but i thought this was pretty unique.

MY (USHANGA)' ED LIFE

hae loves...

so if you ever read my blog you know i am currently in Narok County and i am so in love with the community here. My mum thinks i will get engaged to a man of this beautiful people, i don't even mind :)

anyway...

i decided to feature some pieces associated with the community from my favorite vendor who chose to remain out of all the pictures i got to take...

Commonly referred to as Maasai Jewelry or ''ushanga pieces''

Ushanga is Swahili name for beads.

My favorite bangle...

NECKPIECE

NECKLACES

The Maasai just like any other culture have jewelry for specific duties or to symbolize a stage, like there are pieces only worn by married women, elders and an engaged girl, i am hoping to learn more about this and hopefully blog about it soon.

SHOES, MALE BELTS AND MORE NECK PIECES

HEAD BAND

My friend (longer hair) and me rocking a Maasai piece at the Bow tie Events (the elegance affair) last year.

Hi lovelies....

My network is down, in case you visit this parts of Kenya, don't bring work here, its a real ''beautiful hustle''. which just so you know i would never trade it for anything in the world, which just leads to the need to share with you this cultured town (Narok ---> Maasai Mara)

MAASAI MARKET (part 1)

Hi...

The past weekend i went home and on Saturday i spent the better part of my day at the Maasai market. the last time i was there i was probably in high school which is like seven years back and you know that's way back. The market has not changed a lot but i assure you it was worth the visit. I am particularly very proud of how diverse it has become with all sorta people being seen. it was previously the Jua Kali sorta environment but i got to meet artists that were there not to just sell and go home but meet their customers, hand over business cards and also get orders from their customers. the market/ industry has improved people :)

I actually will share more pictures on the same Day with more details. questions for any one interested are welcomed (just leave a comment or email me)
